Medal Day Parade - 20 August 2021

1. Medal Day Parade for award of UN Peace Medals for INDBATT incl Kazhakistan troops (1st Rotation) was held at UNP 4-2 (Bn HQ loc).

2. Brig Gen Javier Mur Lalaguna, Sector East Commander, was the Chief Guest for the event. Amongst the other guests who attended the event including Mr P Pattabhi, Second Secy, Embassy of India in Lebanon, Sr officers from LAF, CONTICOs from neighbouring battalions & other dignitories.

3. The parade commenced with marching in of impeccably dressed soldiers into the parade ground which was followed by Guard of Honour and review of the parade by the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest awarded UN Medals to the Indian and Kazakhstan Contingent on successful completion of their qualifying service.

4. During his speech, the Chief Guest applauded and complimented both Indian and Kazakhstan contingent for making their impressive and successful contributions and efforts towards peacekeeping in South Lebanon.
