Commemoration Of 152nd Birth Anniversary Of Mahatma Gandhi At INDBATT,UNIFIL

In order to commemorate the 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and observe the International Day of Non-violence , INDBATT,UNIFIL organized an event at the Mahatma Gandhi Park, Ebel El Saqi, South Lebanon. 

2. The occasion was graced by the presence of prominent dignitaries, namely, Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Force Commander UNIFIL Major General Stefano Del Col, Mayor of Ebel El Saqi Mr. Samih Ek Bekai, SE CO Brig Gen Javier Mur Lalaguna and LAF Rep Col Ali Ismail.

3. The event commenced with the releasing of doves and balloons to spread the message of peace and non-violence. It followed with the speeches of the Mayor, the Force Commander and the Ambassador. The speakers emphasized on the noble thoughts of the Mahatma and their relevance across the world. The Mayor and the Force Commander expressed gratitude to the INDBATT for holding up this revered occasion.

It turned out to be a very succesful event with comendable participation from UNIFIL officers and the local civilians.
