Celebrating the Indian Peacekeepers

As part of Amrit Mahotsav  - India@75, the Embassy brings a short documentary on role, life & routine of Indian Soldiers at the UNIFIL in association with Noursat English and senior anchorwoman Ms Joelle Antoine Aziz.

Currently 19 Madras Battalion Group is serving as Indian Battalion at UNIFIL.

On November 13, Noursat English TV crew, along with the Embassy team visited the Indian Battalion HQ and interviewed CO Col Mohver Grewal. The TV Crew also visited nearby Mahatma Gandhi Park and spoke to Mayor of Ebl el Saki who fondly spoke about community connect of the Indian Battalion over past 22 years. The Crew also visited the Medical and Vet clinic run by the Indian Battalion.
