As a part of on-going activities of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Embassy of India, Beirut collaborated with Dreamers Japan and Japan Academic Center (CAJAP), Beirut for staging a play “Amane no Yume” or "Sky Dream" at Theatre Le Monnot, Achrafieh, Beirut on 27th November, 2022. Dance Teacher Cum Performer Shri Deepesh Hoskere choreographed and showcased Bharatanatyam dance pieces along with his student Ms. Seiko Sugita, a Japanese dance artist based in Lebanon, as part of Japanese-Lebanese Theatre Play in the form of drama, music and dance. Inspired by the Japanese legendary Samurai group called Shinsen-gumi in the 19th century, "Sky Dream" is a dynamic play to portray how the last Samurais lived their lives with tremendous dignity.
