We are pleased to inform you that the Technology Division of CII is organizing Conference on Next Generation Forging Technologies on 3rd August 2018 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Chennai, one of the manufacturing hub in India. The Indian Forging industry is an integral part and a major contributor to the manufacturing sector. The Indian Forging industry which is recognized globally is consciously making efforts towards upgrading technologies and diversifying product range to expand its customer base to emerging sectors. Next generation forging technologies are developed to help companies reduce their energy dependency, improve their environmental footprint, and gain a competitive edge in the forging industry. Next generation forging technologies address a wide range of challenges, including a higher complexity of castings, more stringent requirements regarding eco-efficiency, affordability, the quality of products and delivery conditions, and a lack of specialization and skills in production facilities. This is a continuous program and the industry has to constantly look for opportunities, address challenges and leverage the market opportunity through focused approach on increasing productivity, upgrade of technology in addition to capacity expansion. It is in this context, CII - Tamil Nadu Technology Development & Promotion Centre is organising this conference to understand where India stands in this sector and how the roadmap of growth has to be for the forging sector.
