Ranan of Kolkata at the Casino du Liban
January 27, 2016The Embassy of India organized, in association with the Casino du Liban, a fusion performance combining classical and contemporary, Indian and Occidental music and dance on 27 January 2016 at the Casino du Liban Theatre. The show was the first full performance by the Ranan group featuring “Shunya Se” (From Zero) which is a choreographic presentation inspired by the five elements in Indian thought: shunya-space, vayu-air, agni-fire, jal-water, prithvi-earth. Shunya Se, in conception and range, reaches beyond the understanding of choreography as a part of dance terminology.
