Observance of Mahaparinirvana Divas

The Embassy of India observed Mahaparinirvan Divas & paid tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution - Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on 6 December. Ambassador Md. Noor Rahman Sheikh, in his address, highlighted the contributions of Baba Saheb Ambedkar especially for social harmony. A short movie ‘Mooknayak’ on the life of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was also played on the occasion. Separately, on 10 December, Ambassador and officers of the Mission attended Mahaparinirvan Divas at Gurudwara Ravidas ji in Beirut. Ambassador addressed the members of Indian Community and spoke about the great contributions made by Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar. Consular Camp was also organised on this occasion.
