Culture Event 'Bharatiya Dance and Music Night'

As part of promotion of cultural ties with the Indian Diaspora, ‘Bharatiya Dance and Music Night’ was organised on 9 February in Beirut with enthralling performances by the Embassy Dance team, Indian Diaspora, members of Indian Battalion in UNIFIL and Lebanese friends.

The cultural event was attended by senior Lebanese Dignitaries including DG from Ministry of Culture, MP Mr. Ali Osseiran, Ambassadors & other Diplomats, Indian Diaspora and Lebanese friends of India. The event, attended by about 350 persons, was followed by a Bharatiya dinner.

Ambassador Noor Rahman Sheikh spoke about Bharat’s rich cultural heritage and urged the Indian Diaspora to remain connected with it and encouraged the Lebanese friends to explore & experience it; Amb also gave away Certificates of Appreciation to all the artists/personnel who mesmerized the audience with their great performances.
