The celebrations of Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar continued in Beirut with the hosting of a community event at Gurudwara Sant Ravidas ji on 17th April, 2022 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM).
Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan & Embassy officials joined the Indian community at Gurudwara Sant Ravidas ji on this occasion. Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan unveiled the statue of Dr. Ambedkar and thanked the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee for organizing the event. While addressing the gathering Ambassador applauded the achievements of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and his contribution during India’s freedom struggle. The event was attended by more than 350 members of the Indian community.
The photo exhibition of memorable pictures of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar organized at the embassy, was moved to the Gurudwara to attract wider audience and publicity.
